The Ouen Toro is a small hill rising to 128 meters above sea level, located in the south of Noumea. An asphalt road takes you to the summit in a few minutes. From there, a sublime view of the bays invites contemplation. We see several islands close to the Noumea coasts, mountains, lagoon and coral reef. Two Australian cannons dating from World War II sit proudly at the top, as if to remind the memory of the dark hours of a recent past.
Yesterday we had wine #918 SHIRAZ, KAP Bros. McLaren Vale (14.4 A$16/59). With dinner today we had wine #757 SHIRAZ-CABERNET, De Bortoli, 'Bella Riva', King Valley (13.5 A$11/42). Both were good.
I stayed while they played songs that I knew and like before leaving. I had to wait quite a while until they played a song that I didn't know and like.
The couple starring in the "My Future Husband" headed down for an after wedding party in the atrium lobby. They both had plackards reading "Just Married" with tin cans hanging from the signs.
