First photo above is the tall ship that we sailed on when we were last in Sydney two years ago. The second photo is the Sydney skyline. The third is the cruise ship terminal. The last photo is the Sydney Bridge. Some of the smaller cruise ships go under this bridge and dock at other cruise ports. Large ships like the Majestic Princess can not fit under the Sydney Bridge.

Your narrated drive begins at the pier where we'll travel to The Rocks, Sydney's birthplace and historic city center. The Rocks was established shortly after the colony's formation in 1788. The original buildings were made mostly of sandstone from which its name is derived. Now a popular tourist attraction, The Rocks features galleries, shops and pubs with several historic drinking establishments claiming to be the oldest in Sydney.
Continuing on through the city, your tour takes in Hyde Park, Domain and the Botanical Gardens. We'll drive through Kings Cross, the reputed red light district, and on to Rushcutters Bay, home of the Royal Cruising Yacht Club. We'll also pass through the affluent communities of Double Bay and Rose Bay. Along the way, we'll stop for photo opportunities at Mrs. Macquaries Chair for stunning views. The vantage point is directly east of the Opera House, on the eastern
Easy activity edge of the Royal Botanic Gardens and provides excellent views west across the harbor to the Harbour Bridge and the mountains in the far distance. Looking north and east you can see Kirribilli House, Pinchgut Island and the Navy Dockyards at Wooloomooloo. Afterwards, we'll head to Bondi Beach, one of Sydney's most eclectic precincts and the most celebrated beach in the country.

This tour is available to passengers on most voyages disembarking in Sydney and departing on the same day with flights after 4:00 p.m.; passengers who have extended stays in Sydney including all CruisePlus passengers, and/or to passengers in transit between voyages. CruisePlus passengers who have purchased an optional tour as part of their package should not choose this option as they will miss their CruisePlus tour.

We deicded to take a Debarkation Tour of Sydney, Australia, as a way to get off the ship early, get transported to near our airport hotel, and to kill some time until the hotel would let us check in. Plus, it would be a good review of some of the highlights we had visited the last time we were in Sydney two years ago.
I think our tour bus driver may have deleted about an hour from the tour and missed some of the sites he was supposed to go to before Bondi Beach. In the middle of the tour he said he was just going to hurry and go direct to Bondi Beach. When we got to Bondi Beach, he announced we would only have 20 minutes there as everyone needed to be back on the bus by 11:30 am to get to the airport by 12:30 pm. That created an uproar as people pointed out the bus was showing the wrong time and that it was only 10:10 am and not 11:10 am. There was a time change recently and the clock on the bus had not been adjusted. This surprised the bus driver and he said we'd have 45 minutes at Bondi Beach. But that meant the bus driver had hurried to Bondi Beach skipping some of the sites. It was too late to go back to them. So, that resulted in getting to the airport early and the tour ending early.
The hotel website mentioned that Sydney Super Shuttle could be picked up between Terminals T2 and T3 and would take us to our hotel. Though the hotel was right at the airport, it was much too far from the terminals to walk, especially with all our luggage. The cost was AUD $10 for each of us.
The excellent wines were the Thorn-Clark Sandpiper Shiraz and Woodfired Cabernet Sauvignon.
Fantastic jazz musicians and excellent Australian wines.
