2 Servings Of Diced Melon, 2 Glasses Of Tomato Juice, 1 Or 2 Glasses Of Milk, A Pot Of Coffee With 2 Cups, Sweetener, And A Bowl Of Raisen Bran. No Cost Or Service Charge For The Food Or Delivery.
Every few days we order 4 cans of Diet Coke from Room Service at a cost of $2.50 per can. Diet Coke and other soft drinks are $1.50 per cup or free with a Drinks Package if poured from a fountain, but $2.50 per can if you want cans of soda. Every time we order a drink from a bar (free with the Drinks Package), we also ask for a free bottle of water. We save them up in the mini-fridge in our cabin until there is no more room for more bottles of water. We also keep an extra glass or 2 of milk and an extra glass of tomato juice that I take with my afternoon vitamins.
We often like to smell the fresh sea air and listen to the sound of the waves while in our cabin, especially during the night. The problem with this is that there is often an imbalance in the air pressure inside the cruise ship and outside that will cause air to rush into our cabin and out any vents in the room and around the cabin doorframe to the hallway. On older cruise ships there often weren't any vents in the cabin, just a rather large space under the cabin door to the hallway. I would just put a towel at the bottom of the door to prevent the air from rushing out under the door.
However, I was later on cruise ships that had a big vent into the hallway in the cabin door. In order to stop the air flowing out the vent and creating a wind tunnel in the hallway, I'd put pieces of paper over the vent. The suction from the difference in pressure would keep the paper stuck to the vent. But in this cabin, there are many vents. There is a big one near the closet on the wall and a smaller one in the bathroom. I had to cover them all with paper to stop the air from rushing out through them. Again, I just had to put the paper on the vents not using tape or anything. The suction from the difference in air pressure would hold the paper against the vents while our cabin balcony door was open.
Also, I always set the thermostat in the cabin to ZERO, neither heating nor cooling, when I have the balcony door open. I don't want the ship HVAC system to try to heat or cool the entire outdoors. Below are some photos showing the vents before and after placing paper to cover them.
This wine tasting was mostly or all just of the wines that were available by the glass on the ship. The wine wasn't as good as the prior two wine tastings which were more expensive and mostly did not feature wines available by the glass on the ship.
