So far on this cruise they have canceled BOTH "Tour de France" Wine Tastings, the Single Malt Whisky Tasting, and the Premium Cognac Tasting. They did have at least one Caymus Dinner, Crab Shack, Super Tuscan Lunch and probably the Stanley Whole Lamb Dinner that we did not attend. It looks like people on this cruise are willing to pay for an extra charge lunch or dinner, but not a lot for an extra charge wine or spirit tasting.

Today was the first time that I noticed that Princess has "Tea Time" listed in the buffet every day from 3pm-3:45pm. I thought the buffet was closed every day from 3pm until 5:30pm as they transitioned from the Lunch buffet to the Dinner buffet. But, I guess they have "Tea Time" every day at these hours. I was expecting to find some self-serve cakes and finger sandwiches like they have at "Tea Time" in the regular dining room from time to time. But instead all I found was salad ingredients, just one type of sandwich, guacamole & chips, and the usual desserts they have for lunch and dinner. But at least I know the buffet has something to eat between lunch and dinner.
I tried to order a glass of the Silverado Cabernet Sauvignon at the bar by the outdoor pool but all they had was a Canyon Road Cabernet Sauvignon. We've had that wine before and rated it as very good. It is a bold and structured wine characterized by firm tannins which is probably why we like it. The only wine list where I saw it listed is in the Main Dining Room wine lists and it is listed at $11 per glass. In retail stores it costs as little as $8 per bottle.
Seek serenity amid views of the wake at this pool located in the aft (or back) of the ship. Is there anything better than standing at the back of the ship watching the wake create a foamy white zigzag? Reconnect at Outrigger's Bar while sipping a cocktail from our Margarita menu. There's also a morning Bloody Mary menu.
I noticed on the ship map that there was a pool located at the aft end of the Aloha Deck 12 that my cabin is on. I thought that was a strange place to put a pool and wondered how anyone could find it. So my wife and I walked all the way to the aft end of the ship and went out a door that brought us right to the pool. But as I guessed, this is really a pool off the Lido Deck 14. The Outriggers Bar is located on Lido Deck 14 off the back of the World Fresh Marketplace Buffet in the Horizon Court with a stairway down to the pool on Aloha Deck 12. The Outriggers Bar has a nice view of the pool and the ship's wake.
This was our second time of crossing the equator. We crossed the equator a few years ago when we were on the repositioning cruise of the Carnival Splendor from Los Angeles to Singapore.
