14.8% Alcohol By Volume (ABV) is a rather high percentage of alcohol for a Pinot Noir which is why this bottle was still good after having been aged for over 11 years. Normally Pinot Noirs tend to be a lot lower in alcohol and do not age well. They should generally be consumed shortly after purchase. This bottle actually slipped though the cracks and ended up hidden in my wine collection for years until I discovered it just before this cruise. The wine was actually excellent!
