This time we only ordered the Mini Martinis that we liked the most. From left to right in the above photo they are the Blackberry Bramble, Spicy Chipotle, Classic Cosmo and Sea Blue. Then they repeat again as we both ordered the same four.
At first we were going to give this wine a rating between "OK" and "Good" but it kind of grew on us as the mean went on and we upgraded it to "Good Plus", almost up to "Very Good". This Pinot Noir is 7 years old. Generally Pinot Noir is not a wine that you want to age so this is relatively old for a Pinot Noir. However, it did have a screw cap. Unlike bottles with corks, screw caps are supposed to pretty much end the aging process once it is sealed. So maybe the rules about not aging Pinot Noirs don't apply so much. Also at 14.1% this has a bit higher alcohol content than most Pinot Noirs. Pinot Noirs with higher alcohol levels can usually stand up to aging better than ones with lower alcohol levels.
As usual, we started eating our appetizers before I remembered to take a photo of them. The first one that is half eaten was the Smoked Chicken Taquitos - Crispy fried, guacamole, roasted tomatillo verde, queso fresco. The next two are Barbara's Appetizers: Tahitian Tuna Coconut Ceviche - Polynesian lime coconut marinated tuna, ginger, and Salmon Aburi - flame-seared local salmon pressed and dressed with soy & mikuglaze. I ordered the Traditional Pea And Ham Soup - Minted sweet English pea, chunks of ham, creme fraiche. The waiter insisted that I also have the special soup, Bakso - Meatball and Noodle soup with Salted Vegetables and Tofu, which is from his native country. I was surprised as the Meatball was white. It is actually made of chicken. I'm glad he made that suggestion as it was delicious!
Above are our mains. Barbara had the Cioppino - fisherman's wharf traditional stew of green shrimp, local fish, manila clams, blue crab, calamari and black blonde mussels, garlic crostini. I had the Tagliatelle Bolognese - Traditional Italian Bologna-style Ragu, Parmigiano Reggiano. Everything was delicious!
Though it is Tuesday, October 22nd here, it is still Monday, October 21st, Barbara's 70th Birthday, back home. So we celebrated again today!

Greetings from Guest Services,
We'd like to take a moment to apologize for the slow internet service you've been experiencing on board.
The ship's position for the remaining days of the cruise allows us to have access to a larger satellite footprint and you should notice an improvement in internet connectivity speed. (I have! The internet has been great ever since we departed Guam, as good as or better than any prior cruise. The internet was great from Long Beach to Hawaii, but was extremely during the entire week of the cruise from Hawaii to Guam. But now it is great again!)
Given the inconvenience the slow service has caused, we will be refunding 50% of your internet package purchased for the entire voyage (applies to packages purchased before 10/20/19). If you purchased your internet package on board, your refund will be posted on your Sail & Sign account. If the package was purchased prior to the cruise, your refund will be processed to the original form of payment within three weeks.
Thank you for your understanding and enjoy the rest of your cruise.
Sincerely,
Jeff Shea
Guest Services Manager

This was our weak spot, or maybe just Barbara's weak spot but I'd go along and share a "Intense Chocolate Chip" cookie with her. They are only $1.48 each and are delicious as these large cookies are fresh baked every day. But you have to buy them early as they run out. The "Intense Chocolate Chip" cookies are always the first ones to run out. The White Macadamia cookies run out next and then they seem to always have some of the Oatmeal Raisin cookies left over. Actually, those are my favorite. Like everything on the ship you have to use your room key to make purchases in the Coffee Shop, no cash accepted. But I always give a $1 tip in cash when I purchase cookies.
This is above the best view you can get of the Promenade Music Stage unless you are sitting on a bar stool or at a slot machine in the Casino. There are no seats that directly face the stage other than slot machine seats and bar stools. So, this is the best photo that I could get from where we were sitting right next to the stage. Earlier days of this travel report do show better photos of a number of bands that played at this stage. For those photos I had to stand up in front of the stage to take the photos. The Promenade and its seating stretches a very long way down Deck 5 in both directions away from the stage. It is basically a hallway that runs from The Fun Shops in the atrium, through the casino, and all the way to the venues at the rear of the ship. Only the seating that is on the side of the casino has a view of the Promenade music stage and within earshot of the live music.
Sometimes I wish this was not open 24 hours 7 days a week. It is too tempting to just go anytime and order a fresh baked pizza. We got a pizza about 10 PM when we really should have already stopped eating for the day. As you can see above, the pizza crust is stretch out by hand fresh. They don't just load up the ship with preformed frozen pizza pie crusts.
At first I thought he didn't leave a towel animal for us today as there was none on the bed. But then I spotted this towel money hanging from a hook on the wall!
