A passenger on the Island Princess on the cruise prior to our cruise posted the below notice to the Cruise Critic Forum. The Island Princess developed propulsion problems which caused that cruise to leave Vancouver, BC, Canada late and then required them to skip their port stop in Juneau, Alaska. A later notice said they would be staying in Prince Rupert longer. I assume that was so that they could further diagnose and maybe attempt to repair the propulsion problem. This problem did get us a bit concerned that they might cancel our cruise but we knew that Princess would do everything in their power to not cancel.
Though we would be flying on Alaska Airlines we waited for our flight in the United Club Lounge. My wife, Barbara, has a United Club Lounge membership through her credit card that allows her and two guests into the lounge.
We had about an hour between our flight from Southern California to Seattle and our next flight from Seattle to Vancouver, BC, Canada. There was a wine bar right across from our departure gate so we went to the wine bar to wait for our flight where I had a flight of wine! Below are photos of two of the wines that I had in my flight. They said they didn't have a bottle of the third wine that I tried.
The flight to Vancouver, BC, Canada, was pretty much all we did the first day. Please click on the "NEXT PAGE>>>" link below to continue viewing the photos and reading the reports about this trip.
