Riding the tender from the ship to the port.

The glass of our Glass Bottom Boat had been painted over so it wasn't really a Glass Bottom Boat. But, fortunately the water was clear enough over the side for me to get this great photo of the colorful fish in the water. Be sure to click on each of the above photos to view larger images.

This area is known as Land's End as it is at the most southern tip of the Baja California peninsula.

The famous rock formations at Lands End
and other photos from our boat tour.

Arch of Cabo San Lucas.

More photos of the Lands End rock formations as seen from our boat tour.
We got a close up view of many seals and birds.

Photo of our ship, the Horizon Miracle, as seen from our boat tour.

The Glass Factory of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Lunch (and Tequila tastings!) at a Mexican Restaurant in Cabo San Lucas.

Our private tour van in Cabo San Lucas.

Heading back to our cruise ship on the very last tender out of Cabo San Lucas!

We found a towel bear on our bed when we returned to our cabin.

Photos of our balcony stateroom on the Carnival Horizon Miracle.
Plenty of closet space!

Naturally I had to set up my computer on the desk in our stateroom. The internet was the least expensive and had the best performance compared to any cruise I had been on. The speed was better than dial-up but maybe not as fast as the old 56K DSL. Performance was a bit worse on the days we had rocky seas where the satellite probably had a harder time staying locked on the satellite signal. The cost was just a bit more than $200 per connection for the entire 14 day cruise. We purchased two internet plans so both Barbara and I could use the internet throughout the cruise simultaneously. On each plan only one device is allowed to be connected at a time, but it was easy to switch back and forth between computer and smart phone. We kept our smart phones on "Airplane Mode" whenever we were on the ship so that we did not accidentally place any calls or use any data over the ship's cell tower. If we had connected to the ship's cell tower calls would be charged at almost $6 per minute and 50 cents per text! We did not use any calls or texts on the ship's cell tower. However, we were surprised that the T-mobile WiFi calling worked fine over the ships internet! We were able to make calls free using WiFi calling over the internet plans we had purchased. We were also able to do our text messaging, email, web browsing, etc., at no additional cost using the internet plan. I was also shocked we were able to use YouTubeTV.com to watch live all of our favorite TV channels over our internet plans. The ship did seem to have disabled most other streaming services such as Netflix, Vonage Extensions WiFi calling, etc. I was surprised that they did not block T-mobile WiFi calling or YouTubeTV.com live TV video streaming.

Most cruise ships only provide one outlet in the room and that is located at the desk. They do allow you to bring a multi-outlet power strip, but surge protectors are banned on most ships. So, make sure the power strip you bring with you does not have a surge protector or it might get confiscated. From what I've read, ships do not have a real "ground" since they are on the water. Using a surge suppressor could accelerate the natural corrosion of the ship's hull and require more maintenance than the pace at which it is normally done. There is also an outlet in the bathroom but it is only 2-prong and meant only for shavers.

Late on several nights I'd walk ten laps on the Deck 10 outdoor track
in order to get in my 3 mile walk.

The Piano Bar.

Some of the elegant starways and hallways in the public areas of the ship.

The comedy club.
